Bodnath Stupa at Swayambunath, KathmanduNepal Medical Elective Website - the online resource for medical students

You can help

This site has two key functions. Firstly, it aims to provide useful, practical information to medical students who are planning their electives to Nepal. Secondly, money is raised for two inspirational organisations: Kanti Children's Hospital Appeal Fund (KCHAF) and Hopeful Home Orphanage. All proceeds are split 50:50 unless dictated otherwise. If you prefer to donate to a registered UK charity, KCHAF is based in Cambridge and donations can be transferred direct to its account.

Please read on to find out how you or your company's help could be mutually beneficial! Remember all money raised goes direct to these projects: nothing is kept for administration or site hosting costs (these are funded by the author of the site). Also the exchange rate ensures that all money is well spent, as the buying power of $/£/€ is significantly greater than it is at home.

For more details on any of the following opportunities, please email david@nepalelective.org.

Corporate advertising

This site is targeted at medical students who are well down the road of medical school. You can raise awareness of your service by buying advertising space at extremely competitive rates. There are already several big players in the medical world who are supporting nepalelective.org in this way.

Individual donations

Individual donations are very gratefully received. You may specify which funds you wish to contribute to. All money really can make a huge difference, and examples of this from personal experience are easy to recount.
