What to Do in Nepal
This new page (April 2005) will give suggestions about things to do whilst in Nepal. You'll find much more information in the travel guides and other websites, but I hope to feature some "must-sees and must-dos".First-up, some information on a fantastic guest-house in Pokhara. We stayed there in 2004, and found it to be extremely pleasant, ultra-clean and great value. It was a no-brainer to go back during my 10 day visit to Nepal in 2005 - and this time I had all my travel arrangements from KTM to Pokhara expertly arranged by them too. The proprietors are Ailsa from Scotland, and her Nepali husband Bishnu!
Sacred Valley Inn, Pokhara - www.sacredvalleyinn.com

the entranceSituated in the Lakeside district of Pokhara, this is the best place to stay as it's near all the main activities and best views of the lake (funnily enough!). Rooms are available in various arrangements - with spotless ensuite bathrooms - from around 300NRs. Whilst there's loads of places to eat along the lakeside, they do meals and snacks here too - and there is even a garden veranda and balcony to eat it from... perfect for a stunning breakfast with views of the Annapurna mountains!
Sacred Valley also runs a trekking agency called Lily's Nirvana Treks. It is government registered and has loads of experience of the surrounding area. All the guides are professonal, fully-trained and have an abundance of local knowledge.
